Value Proposition (What)
The Knowledge Academy offers the following types of courses:
Public course <-> dedicated course
Public classes are a mixture of clients, partners and Odyssey employees. The trainees have usually attended all the prerequisite courses (if required) and they have all agreed on the content and duration of the course.
Dedicated courses are arranged for a specific client or partner who works with the Knowledge Academy to define the program, duration and location.
Standard course <-> customized course
The standard training course delivered by the Knowledge Academy satisfies the needs identified with our clients, our partners and our employees. The content and duration are described in the training catalogue.
The customized training course is based on the standard course. Content, duration and training methods are adapted to suit the clients’ needs. Preliminary discussions are held with a representative of the Knowledge Academy. These training courses require preparation.
End users course <-> implementation team course (super-user)
The end user course can be designed, built and delivered by the Odyssey Knowledge Academy. It is a customized training which can integrate e-learning, train the trainer, certification … principles.

Training methodology (HOW)
The aim of each course is to give the participant (max. 10 trainees per course) the relevant theoretical knowledge in an efficient, practical manner; knowledge transfer is combined with real-life data examples and practical exercises on our training platform.
Our learning approach consists of three steps:
- Preparation: before attending the course, trainees should read the preparation materials and follow the prerequisite courses.
- The course itself which includes:
- Definition of the learning objectives
- Theoretical introduction and explanation based on a PowerPoint™ presentation
- Practical live demonstration
- Hands-on session
- Practical exercises with the correction
- Link with the product documentation
- Training recap
- Exam (in the case of the certification program) to validate the successful completion of the course.
Locations (WHERE)
Odyssey has currently 3 professional training rooms in
Lausanne, Brussels and Singapore, and temporary facilities in our other locations. Each training room provides a suitable workspace for the trainee and is equipped with PC workstations (1 PC per trainee), a training database, projector or video system, printers, etc. Teaching on Odyssey's premises ensures that participants are fully involved in the training without the usual disturbances and guarantees a professionally prepared training infrastructure.
Courses can also be organized at the customer or partner’s premises. In this case, it is essential that the customer provide an adequate training infrastructure. The trainer will require extra time to prepare the environment on site.
