Market Data Systems announces that it has been commissioned to install a major data warehouse to service several worldwide offices of Credit Suisse First Boston. The project will incorporate cross-reference, terms & conditions, static, daily prices/volumes, real-time and derived data for all listed Equities, Bonds and a large number of Derivatives, all based on the Sybase database platform.
Mike Gillott, Principal Consultant said, "This project represents another success using our DiNAMiC data warehousing solution, and will be the first to go global. Once again we have proven our ability to provide largely off-the-shelf solutions of this nature in a fraction of the time taken by internal departments and our competitors. This project has been awarded to us given our thorough understanding of the issues facing both the trading and I.T. functions of a major trading institution using the experience that we have personally gained through previous roles working directly for these departments.
Many of the players in our business are tied to database platforms or data vendors, but we have shown once again that our strategy of independence has ensured that our solution has met the requirements of our client. We have advised our client throughout the database, data vendor and modelling phases of this project without bias. This independence sets us apart from all our competitors and gives our clients the solutions that they need, without compromise."
