Henderson Global Investors (Henderson) Implements CAfIT’s FIPA in Record Time for Global Implementation

CAfIT Ltd - the specialist UK-based Fixed Income software provider – announces that Henderson, a leading international independent asset management firm with Sterling £66.5 billion under management, has selected and implemented CAfIT’s FIPA portfolio management and modelling solution. FIPA will be deployed at Henderson’s London and Chicago locations, with the initial implementation providing 20 of the asset manager’s London team of Fixed Income specialists with comprehensive strategic Front Office functionality. At Henderson, FIPA is operating in conjunction with the existing Charles River IMS platform, with implementation completed in just four months, highlighting the intrinsic flexibility of the FIPA design.

The contract was awarded on the basis of FIPA’s field-proven Fixed Income functionality and comprehensive instrument coverage. Global Head of Fixed Income David Jacob outlined Henderson’s rationale for selecting FIPA:
“We were looking for a leading edge Fixed Income solution that specifically offered the ability to model credit derivatives. The system needed to be designed first and foremost for Fixed Income, which narrowed the choice down considerably. CAfIT demonstrated an excellent understanding of Fixed Income, and gave us confidence that we would be working with a specialist and flexible team capable of high bandwidth input, as has proved to be the case.”

FIPA was implemented within a four-month timescale, integrating seamlessly with Henderson’s existing Charles River IMS, reflecting FIPA’s inherently scalable design. Global Director of IT Simon Stratford is confident that with FIPA in place, Henderson is able to access a new level of specialist Fixed Income performance, supported by proven CAfIT’s technology leadership. He commented:
